This article covers how to export the Bulk AIP Update template so you have a current, correctly formatted CSV of all episodes and AIPs. Exporting is the first step in any bulk AIP change.
Note: The Bulk AIP Update tool is available only to users with Owner permissions on the series profile. Admin and Stats Only users will not see the Bulk AIP Update card.
Before you make any bulk changes, save a copy of the downloaded template. Re-uploading your original export is the only way to revert a bulk change, so keep it as your backup.
Primary Feed template
Navigate to your Series Details page and scroll down to the Bulk AIP Update card. Click the blue + button:
Next, select the Download a template link in the modal:
Alternate feed template(s)
Primary Feed episodes are linked to any alternate feed versions of the episodes by default, meaning that alternate feed episodes inherit the import when linked. This is another reason downloading your alternate feed templates can be useful. See How do I edit the Bulk AIP template? for how inheritance affects imports.
To export a template for an alternate feed, go to the Feeds section in the left-side menu of the series profile and click into the feed page you want to export from. Scroll down to the Bulk AIP Update card and follow the same process as the Primary Feed.
Common questions
I manage an alternate feed. Do I use the same process? Almost. The process is the same, but you export the template from the alternate feed page rather than the Series Details page. The alternate feed template includes one additional column, inherit_from_primary. If an episode shows “Y” in this column, it is inheriting its AIPs from the Primary Feed. To set custom AIPs on that episode, delete the “Y” and add your marker settings.
