The Bulk AIP Update tool can add new AIPs and remove existing ones across all episodes at once. This article covers both.
Before you make any bulk changes, save a copy of the downloaded template. Re-uploading your original export is the only way to revert a bulk change, so keep it as your backup.
Adding multiple AIPs to one episode
Each AIP needs to be on its own row. To add a new AIP to an episode, copy and paste the episode row and add your desired AIP settings. Type is not numbered in the sheet, so even if an episode has more than one mid-roll, each row should show midroll in the position_type column. The AIPs are numbered according to their order in the episode Warpfeed. You can add up to 7 prerolls, 7 midrolls, and 7 postrolls per episode.
Removing AIPs in bulk
To remove AIPs in bulk, first download the CSV template and clear all the data in these columns: position_type, start_position, max_ads, max_duration, and inherit_from_primary (for alternate feeds). Once those cells are empty, upload the CSV to remove the AIPs in bulk. Do not empty the cells for episode_id, episode_guid, unique_content_id, episode_title, and release_date.

To remove the AIPs, empty the cells for position_type, start_position, max_ads, and max_duration, then upload the CSV:
Note: Removing an episode row from the CSV will not delete the episode itself. Only the markers can be edited.
Common questions
I want to add mid-roll markers to episodes that don't currently have any. Can I do this in bulk? Yes. To add a new AIP to an episode, copy that episode's row in the CSV, set the position_type to midroll, enter the start_position (in seconds or HH:MM:SS format), and set your desired max_ads and max_duration values. Each AIP must be on its own row: if an episode needs two mid-rolls, it needs two rows.
