Our Custom Reports feature lets you build your own analytics reports by choosing the exact dimensions, metrics, filters, and date ranges you need. You can save reports for reuse and access them anytime from the Custom Reports page. Custom Reports are currently available in Series and Network Analytics, and we will expand to the Ad Ops profile soon.
Getting Started
Custom Reports is located in the left sidebar under Analytics > Custom Reports. On the first visit to the page, you'll see an empty state with a Create Report button. Once you or other users on the profile have saved reports, the reports will appear in a list showing the report name, creation date, and an actions menu.
Creating a Report
Click the Create Report button.
You'll enter the report builder.
Step 1: Customize Report
The report builder has a left panel for selecting dimensions and metrics, and a main area that displays your data table and filter controls. A dimension is how your data is grouped. It adds a column to your table and defines the rows in your table. For example, choosing "Month" as a dimension means each row represents a different month. A metric is the number being measured in each row, like downloads or unique listeners.
Choosing Dimensions
Dimensions determine how your data is grouped (the rows in your table). Click the + button next to Dimensions to open the dimension picker.
Available dimensions are organized into categories:
- Time — Month, Week, Day, Hour
- Content — Network, Series, Season, Feed, Episode, Episode Type, Episode GUID, Episode Release Date
- Location — Country, Region, DMA
- Platform — Listen Source
Select a dimension and it will appear as a tag in the Dimensions panel. You can remove a dimension by clicking the x beside it. You can add multiple dimensions to group your data in more detail. In some cases, you may be limited to 3 dimensions of different types.
Choosing Metrics
Metrics are the numerical values displayed in your report columns. The available metrics are:
- Downloads — Total download count
- Downloads Percent — Percentage share of downloads for the results in the report
- Unique Listeners — Number of distinct listeners
- Frequency — Average downloads per unique listener
Select one or more metrics in the Metrics panel.
Setting a Date Range
Click the date range button (shows "Last 30 Days" by default) to open the date picker. You can choose from preset ranges or select custom dates on the calendar:
- Last 2 Days
- Last 7 Days
- Last 30 Days
- Last 90 Days
- Last 365 Days
- All Time
You can also click specific dates on the calendar to set a custom range.
Applying Filters
Click the Filters button to narrow your data to specific values. In the Filters panel:
- Click to add a dimension filter.
- Select the dimension you want to filter by (Season, Feed, Episode, Episode Type, Country, Region, DMA, or Listen Source).
- Choose a specific value from the dropdown.
- Click Save to apply the filter, or Clear to remove all filters.
You can add multiple filters to further refine your results. When multiple filters are selected, all apply to further narrow the scope. For example, if the filters are set to Country = Canada and Episode = "Episode 1," only metrics for "Episode 1" and Canada will be displayed.
Viewing Results
As you make selections, the data table updates to show your results. Note that results are limited to 1,000 rows.
You can also Export to CSV by clicking the download icon next to the search box
Step 2: Save Report
When you're satisfied with your report and want to return to it in the future, click Next in the top-right corner to proceed to Step 2 to save the report.
Enter the following details:
- Title (required) — Give your report a descriptive name
- Description (required) — Describe what this report shows
The page also displays a summary of your selected Dimensions and Metrics for confirmation. If you need to make changes, click ← Back to customize to return to Step 1.
Click Save in the top-right corner to save your report.
