ART19 Video is in beta. Features are still being built and may change, and you may come across the occasional rough edge. We welcome your feedback - see Submitting feedback.
You can now publish video episodes alongside your audio on ART19. The feature is in active beta, so expect it to evolve.
To get started, contact ART19 Support to have video enabled for your show(s).
Where your videos appear:
- Amazon Music - automatic, no setup needed (currently delivers to US devices only).
- Apple Podcasts - requires a one-time account setup before video can be delivered (see Setting up Apple Podcasts below).

ART19 creates closed captions from your video's audio automatically after upload - there's nothing to switch on. You can optionally edit the generated captions or upload your own SRT. See Automated Closed Captions for Video (Transcripts) for the full how-to.
Good to know
- You must upload an audio file in addition to a video file to publish an episode.
- Alternate feeds can only use video content from the Primary Feed.
- The Episode Change History tool does not currently reflect updates to video content.
Setting up Apple Podcasts (one-time)
This setup is only needed to deliver video to Apple Podcasts, and only once per Apple Podcasts Connect account (not required for Amazon Music).
- Create and download an API key in Apple Podcasts Connect
- Copy your show ID(s) (on the show detail page in Apple Podcasts Connect)
- Submit your .pem file and show ID(s) to ART19's Support Ticket form. Do not rename the .pem file.
- The ART19 Support Team will confirm when your API key is set up - then you can start publishing video episodes to Apple Podcasts.
- Request video access from Apple (allowlist). Your show may already be enabled, but to be safe, email video-enablement-request@apple.com with the subject HLS Request - ART19, including your series name, RSS feed URL and Apple Show ID. Apple will reply with a case number - allow up to two weeks.
Notes:
- This is a one-time setup per Apple Podcasts Connect account. We'll enable customers to manage API keys directly in ART19 at a later date.
- If you manage a network of shows with multiple Apple Podcasts Connect accounts, you must provide at least one API key per account for participating shows.
- If you intend to publish video for multiple shows, our team will handle sourcing the Apple Podcasts show IDs on your behalf (see Bulk upload above).
- If a video is uploaded 30 days or more before the episode's publish date, it will not be pushed to Apple Podcasts. Upload closer to the publish date to avoid this.
- Shows using Apple Podcasts Subscriptions: once video is enabled in your ART19 profile(s), create ALL new episodes in ART19 (this automatically creates an episode record in Apple Podcasts Connect). If you offer subscribers early access or exclusive episodes, complete your setup in Apple Podcasts Connect afterward.
FAQs
How do I get video enabled?
Contact ART19's Support Ticket form and we'll switch it on for your show(s).
Which platforms is video available on?
Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. Other platforms aren't supported yet - we'll keep you posted as we expand.
What do viewers need to see video on Apple Podcasts?
iOS 26.4 or later.
My video isn't showing on Apple Podcasts.
First, check the viewer is on iOS 26.4 or later. Also note: if a video is uploaded 30 days or more before the episode's publish date, it isn't pushed to Apple Podcasts - upload closer to the publish date.
My video isn't in the RSS feed yet.
Allow 15-30 minutes for the feed to propagate, then check your feed URL again.
How long does an upload take?
It depends on your connection and file size - a 1 GB file may take 30-60 minutes.
Can I monetise video with dynamic ads?
During the beta, the only way to monetise video on Apple Podcasts is baked-in ads. Dynamic ad insertion is on the roadmap.
Are there extra costs?
No fees during the beta period. If that changes, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice.
Can I bulk-upload episodes?
Episodes are uploaded one at a time. For a large back catalogue, contact Support and we'll coordinate.
My episode shows as Explicit on Apple Podcasts but Clean in ART19.
This is a known issue that we've flagged to Apple - no action needed on your side.
