You can replace your episodes' audio at any time, without downtime for your listeners. The new audio will be made available to listening platforms immediately via your RSS feed*.
Step 1: Navigate to the episode page and edit
Navigate to the episode's page in your series profile and click on the blue Edit button in the top right corner.
Step 2: Delete the current audio file and upload the new file
Go to the Audio Upload & Ad Insertion card, click on the 3 dots in the right corner, and select Delete.
Don't worry - the changes won't take effect until you click Save, so the episode remains live on listening platforms while you make these changes.
Once deleted, drag-and-drop your file onto the card, or click Select File to upload.
Important: Please note that if you had ad markers set before, they will not repopulate with the new file and you will have to add them again.
Step 3: Save changes
Go back to the top right corner of the page and click the Save button.
*Please note: any listening platforms that re-host audio (e.g. Spotify) will not re-upload the new file. Please Contact Support if you need assistance.
FAQs
How long does new audio take to reach the listening platforms?
The changes reach the feed instantly, and anyone downloading the episode for the first time will get the new audio immediately. If the episode has been downloaded previously on a device, it will be cached for 24 hours - the original audio will be heard until that time is up, even if it's deleted and downloaded again. To confirm the new audio, test on a completely new device.
Will my stats be affected?
No, the stats for the episode remain the same.
