Overview:
ART19 can support tracking pixels and ping any 3rd party tracking URL. Tracking destination URLs are pinged when impressions are processed either at the campaign or the ad level. This means an external ad server is pinged once for every reported impression for the related ad and will correlate to your selected measurement type. Unlike display, where tracking tags are fired client side, in podcasting tags are fired server side.
ART19 offers 3rd Party Tracking at the campaign level in addition to 3rd Party Tracking at the ad level. A tracking URL configured at the campaign level will fire for every ad associated with the campaign. This saves you time if you have multiple pieces of creative requiring the same tracking URL.
Step 1: Add Campaign Level Tracking
Navigate to the campaign details page and scroll to the bottom to find 3rd Party Campaign Tracking.
To add a destination, press the blue plus button and provide a name for your new tracking destination. Then click save.
Step 2: Set specific parameters
Click on the pencil icon on the top-right of the card to populate the remainder of your tracking destination information. Clicking a parameter button will insert your selection into the tracking URL where your cursor is located. If the tracking URL has a pre-existing parameter that needs to be replaced, highlight the entire parameter before clicking the button.
By clicking on Show Details, you'll be able to see all the parameters we support:
Step 3 (Optional): Ad Level Tracking
When you click into an ad and scroll down to 3rd Party Tracking, you will now see two types of tracking listed, Campaign and Ad. The campaign type is anything added from the 3rd Party Campaign Tracking card and the Ad type is anything added to that specific ad. To add another destination at the ad level, press the blue plus button and provide a name. Then click save.
Additionally, any 3rd Party Campaign Tracking destination will be copied when using our campaign duplication feature. To learn more about this feature, click here.
