Overview: ART19 supports LiveRamp measurement pixels. LiveRamp uses a standard 1x1 pixel, which is fully compatible with ART19's 3rd party measurement system.
As with all 3rd party measurement URLs, LiveRamp tags can be added at the insertion order, line item and ad level. A measurement URL configured at the insertion order level will fire for every ad within that insertion order.
Step 1: Add a Measurement Destination
Navigate to your insertion order, line item or ad and scroll to find 3rd Party Measurement. To add a destination, press the blue plus button and provide a name for your new Measurement Destination (e.g. "LiveRamp"). Then click save.
Step 2: Apply measurement URL
Click on the pencil icon on the top-right of the card to populate the remainder of your Measurement Destination information. Paste the LiveRamp pixel URL provided by your advertiser into the URL field. LiveRamp pixels support the same macros as other vendors - click Show Details to see all available parameters.
If your LiveRamp pixel uses macros similar to Podscribe, you can configure them in the same way. See Setting Up 3rd Party Measurement - Podscribe for a detailed walkthrough of the macro configuration process.
RSS Prefix (for baked-in placements)
For baked-in ad placements, you can append a LiveRamp measurement prefix to your RSS feed URL. This applies the prefix to all episodes in the feed. See 3rd Party Measurement Prefixes for setup instructions.
Note: RSS prefixes apply at the feed level, not to individual episodes.
IP Address Passing
Some measurement vendors require IP address passing in the X-Forwarded-For and X-Device-IP headers. If LiveRamp requires this for your campaign, Contact Support to enable it on your Ad Ops profile.
Limitations
ART19's 3rd party measurement system does not support:
- Device ID or Mobile Ad ID (MAID) - not available in the podcasting ecosystem
- JavaScript tags - podcast measurement is server-side, not client-side
- IAS (Integral Ad Science)
If you have questions about LiveRamp compatibility or need help with setup, please Contact Support.
