Bulk series targeting allows you to add series to a campaign using a CSV file. This can save you time when adding a large number of series to a campaign versus selecting series and networks individually using the interface. It can also be helpful if you group your series by theme (e.g. Kids Shows) and want to re-use the same list of series across multiple campaigns.
To use bulk series targeting, navigate to the Series card within your campaign and click the plus button.
Click “Download Template” to download a reference file specific to your Ad Ops profile.
The CSV template includes a list of series connected to your Ad Ops profile. It includes each series' unique ID, title, and parent network, if applicable.
Clear or delete the rows for any series you don’t want included in your campaign. Do not modify the column headers or row contents. Save the file as a CSV when you're done.
Upload the file you just modified. A validation screen will confirm the number of series that will be added to the campaign. Click “Confirm” to complete.
Note: series included in the CSV upload are added to your existing targets. If you accidentally upload the wrong series, you can use the Delete All Series button to start over.
If your CSV is invalid, one or many error messages will be shown:
- Not a valid CSV: the file you uploaded is not a CSV file type.
- Column Header Invalid/Missing: your column header doesn’t match the template and your CSV can’t be read.
- Unrecognized Series IDs: The series ID is formatted incorrectly. Usually this is because one or many digits is missing.
- Missing Ad Deals: The series ID doesn’t match any series that are connected to your ad ops profile.
Correct the errors in the CSV and then select “Try Again” to re-upload your file. You can re-download the template file at any time to start with a valid document.
