If you are preparing to move your podcast(s) to another host platform, please Contact Support, and we'll help you along the way!
These are the main steps you will follow to complete migration:
1. Account Approval:
If you are not an owner in the account, make sure the owner of the billing account is aware of the migration and ready approve the cancellation. Adding an account owner or key contact in CC when Contacting Support is a great way to let us know all parties approve.
2. Import (Ad Free) Series into New Host:
You can use the ART19 RSS feed to import your show into the new host platform. If you are running dynamic ads, be sure to import using a "dynamic ad-free" ART19 RSS version of each show into the new host platform. You can either turn off ads in a primary feed settings or create an ad-free alternate feed if there isn't one already (see: Setting Up a New Ad Free Feed). If you import a feed while dynamic ads are inserting, they will permanently bake into your episodes.
3. Request a Cancelation and Redirect:
Fill out our Series Cancelation & Redirect Request Form. Choose the "Cancel Series" option - there will be a field to include the RSS for redirect. Please include all profile names and all feeds if more than one needs to be redirected. After we have confirmed that the redirect(s) is placed, we will take down the profile(s) about 24 hours later, but the redirect will stay in place indefinitely.
4. Download Your Stats:
Stats are not included in the RSS import, so be sure to download your historical stats from the stats page for your records within 24 hours after the redirect. Most charts have a little CSV download button. We never delete stats, so you can request stats access for a limited time after the profile is deactivated by Contacting Support.
5. Replace ART19 Embedded Players:
If you are using any ART19 embedded players, be sure to replace them with the new host players within 24 hours after the redirect. ART19 players will break once we deactivate the profile.
6. Export Your Markers:
If you use dynamic ads on ART19 and have a lot of Mid-Roll markers, you can use the Bulk AIP Update Feature to export your markers. Some host platforms can use this to import in all of your markers. Note that you do need owner access in the series profile to access this tool. See also: Download a Spreadsheet of your Ad Markers & Timestamps
If your episodes have marked embedded or stale ads, Contact Support to request a sheet that adjust marker timestamps with these sections removed from the episode duration. Note that it can take more than a week to provide - just be sure to let us know which series you would need this for.
