RSS Feeds are what connect listening platforms to all of your content. Your show's RSS feed contains all the information about your series and is what you submit to listening platforms so they can publish your episodes. For most hosting platforms they will include 'rss' somewhere in the URL, like this - https://rss.art19.com/your-show-name
As RSS feeds are mostly meant to be read by listening platforms, not listeners, they can be slightly confusing to begin with. Here's an example of what the RSS feed for the ART19 Demo Series looks like:
Although it may look confusing it's actually just a list with lots of information about your show. Starting with the main series information at the top. Then moving on to each individual episode. Everything is stored in separate 'tags' as outlined in the table below.
Every time you change something within your series or episode in ART19 it immediately updates on your RSS feed. It can then take a while for the platforms to register this change. Each listening app refreshes feeds in different intervals (i.e. once per day, every hour).
Here is a list of every tag that can appear in your RSS feed and how to adjust it within ART19. Please note that not all RSS feeds have every tag.
