Overview
If you use Dynamic Ad Insertion in any way then you may be asked to provide an export of ad markers when redirecting an existing series to or away from ART19. On ART19 these ad markers are called Ad Insertion Points or AIPs, they may have different names on other platforms but their function is the same. ART19 allows publishers to export, update, and import AIPs using the Bulk AIP Update tool which is available on every series profile.
AIP exports follow the same template format on ART19, however they will differ across other hosting platforms. This means that exports from other platforms may not be compatible with ART19 and vice versa. This article hopes to help publishers and other hosting platforms better understand how these exports are formatted, what information they contain, and how that information relates to information contained in exports from other platforms.
Episode Examples
We've created 3 sample episodes to exemplify how these episodes are displayed across exports from different hosting platforms. While most of the information in the exports will be used by other hosting platforms to import the ad markers, some information is specific to that hosting platform and may be either replaced or excluded when converting the ad markers.
