Use Competitive Separation to ensure that competitive line items do not deliver ads in the same download or ad insertion point as specified industries and/or brands. Your Competitive Separation rules are applied to demand from other ART19 Ad Ops profiles, Amazon Podcast Audience Network, and third party demand.
Step 1: Click on the Competitive Separation Card in a Line Item
On the line item detail page, directly under the Frequency card, you will see Competitive Separation. Click on the gear icon to separate by download or ad insertion point.
Click on the plus icon to make updates to competitive industries and brand domains.
Step 2: Make Your Separation Selections
For industry level Competitive Separation, Choose IAB industry categories via the multi-select menu. If you select a Tier 1 category, your line item will be separated against all of its accompanying Tier 2 categories. For example, if you separate by download and choose Education (IAB5), your campaign will not appear in a download with another line item whose brand is categorized as Education: Homeschooling (IAB5-10).
For brand level Competitive Separation, enter the brand domains (example.com) you’d like to separate against. You can use a space or line break to separate multiple domains.
