Your campaigns on ART19 will now be organized into Insertion Orders and Line Items to match with your advertising contracts and align with the information management on Order Management Systems (OMS).
An Insertion Order (IO) is a formal agreement between an advertiser and publisher outlining campaign terms, budget, and timeline. In ART19, an IO acts as a parent container that holds shared information like brand and agency details. Each IO contains Line Items, which are the individual ad placements where specific targeting parameters are set up for ad delivery.
Please note that this feature is currently available by request. If you are interested in using this on your Ad Ops profiles, please should reach out to support@art19.com.
Creating Insertion Orders and Line Items
A Line Item defines how specific ad creatives are served, including pricing, targeting, and delivery details. It functions as a building block within an Insertion Order, specifying how ads reach target audiences.
To start you need at least one Brand. These can be created in the Brands tab on the left hand side. Click 'Brands' then 'Create Brand'. Then give it a name and select an Industry and click 'Create'.
Next, navigate back to the Campaign Hub to create your Insertion Order. Click the blue + button to create a new Insertion Order. If you already have a brand you can click New Insertion Order on the list view page.
Add an External Order Number (if using), give the IO a Name, Type and Brand. You can also select an Agency, if needed, and pick a Standard or Broadcast calendar. Click 'Create'.
You will then be taken to the Order Detail page which outlines the main information for that Insertion Order. You can make edits to these details as long as it is still in a draft status.
Then you will need to create a new Line Item, within this Insertion Order. Click 'New Line Item' at the top right of the page.
Give the LI a number, if using, and a Name. Then you can select a Type. You can also select whether this is Standard or Sequential (more information here). Click 'Create'.
Next you can add the Line Item details including Priority, Flight, Goal, Pacing, Frequency, Competitive Separation, and Geo, Device and Platform Targeting settings. Select your Episode and Positional settings. And add the Series you want to target. Then add your ad(s). You can also add a 3rd Party Campaign Measurement pixel, if using.
You can then click 'Schedule' in the top right of the banner. It will enter Scheduled mode (blue) if the start date is in the future, or Active mode (green) if it has already started.
