Overview:
ART19 is certified to support Extreme Reach tags. The passing of IP address in the X-Forward-For and X-Device-IP headers must be enabled for Extreme Reach to process the correct information. To enable this please reach out to support@art19.com to learn more.
As with all 3rd Party tracking URL’s, Extreme Reach tags can be added at both the campaign or ad level. A tracking URL configured at the campaign level will fire for every ad associated with the campaign. This saves you time if you have multiple pieces of creative requiring the same tracking URL.
Step 1: Extreme Reach Campaign Level Tracking
Navigate to the campaign details page and scroll to the bottom to find 3rd Party Campaign Tracking.
To add a destination, press the blue plus button and provide a name for your new tracking destination. Then click save. Please note, a Tracking Destination can be called whatever you choose but we recommend using a name that includes the 3rd party vendor.
Step 2: Set specific parameters
Click on the pencil icon on the top-right of the card to populate the remainder of your tracking destination information.
A typical Extreme Reach tag will look like this:
https://beacons.extremereach.io/cp-imp?cid=xxxxxx&creative_id=xxxxxxx&line_item=xxxxxxx&er_pm=ctp&er_ar=0&er_cp=&er_did=[INSERT_DEVICE_ID_HERE]&us_privacy=${US_PRIVACY}&ba_cb=[INSERT_CACHEBREAKER_HERE]
The [INSERT_CACHEBREAKER_HERE] macro will need to be updated with ART19’s Random macro and the [INSERT_DEVICE_ID_HERE] and ${US_PRIVACY} macros should be removed. To update the pre-existing macro, highlight the entire macro.
Then click the corresponding button, in this case RANDOM, to update the macro.
Be sure to set to Active before clicking Update & Close.
