Ad Ops
- [Improvement] Updated Positional Targeting behavior to deliver ads more often (details below)
- [Bug Fix] On duplication, Campaign titles displayed raw HTML entities
Prior to this change, if you targeted a campaign to the B position within an Ad Insertion Point (AIP), that campaign would not deliver if position A of that AIP was not filled within the same download. With this change, a campaign targeted to non-A positions will deliver, provided that the campaign targets a position the AIP supports.
Here’s an example scenario:
You have an episode with one Mid-Roll AIP (Mid-Roll 1). This AIP supports a maximum of 2 ads i.e. positions A and B:
There are two campaigns targeted to your episode.
-
Campaign 1 is targeting Mid-Roll 1B positions:
-
Campaign 2 is targeting Mid-Roll 1C positions:
There are no campaigns targeted to Mid-Roll 1A positions.
Prior to this update, neither of these campaigns would deliver to a download because their preceding position (A) was not filled. With this change, Campaign 1 will deliver to a download. Campaign 2 will not deliver, however, because there is no position C in the AIP.
