Downloads
ART19 is certified to measure downloads using the industry standard IABv2.1 server-side methodology. A single download is registered when a unique IP address and user agent (web browser, podcast app, etc.) combination downloads 60 seconds of audio from ART19 in a rolling 24-hour window. Additionally, we filter out every request where the data implies the source is not an actual person. We leverage the IAB bots and spiders list as well as other databases to filter out requests from bots, data centers, erroneous referrers, proxies, and spiders.
Impressions
ART19 measures an impression for every ad delivered in accordance with the IABv2.1 standard. In order for an impression to count, all data related to an advertisement must be delivered to the client. We use byte-range data to confirm that enough of a file was delivered to contain an ad in its entirety. All filtering applied to downloads applies for impression measurement as well.
Listeners
ART19 can provide insight into your audience size for a specific time range via custom reports. In accordance with IABv2.1, a listener is defined as a unique IP address and user agent combination over a defined time period. The same filtering for bots, data centers, erroneous referrers, proxies, and spiders that is applied to downloads is applied to this metric as well. Unique listener reports are available at the network, series, episode, or campaign level. If you are interested in receiving a custom unique listeners report, please reach out to support@art19.com.
