New episodes can take up to 24 hours to appear on listening platforms but it varies from platform to platform. If you see it on one or more, but not others, don't panic! It is usually just a matter of time before it appears. This is because each listening app "refreshes" RSS feeds at different intervals. This may happen every hour or every 24.
We recommend scheduling your episodes to release in the early morning hours to account for this lag. If you see it published on ART19, but not 3rd party listening apps (like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, etc) this ultimately falls outside of our control, but we're happy to shed more light on the issue or support you in troubleshooting. If it has been longer than 24 hours, we recommend reaching out the listening apps.
If you do not see your latest episode published to your ART19 RSS feed or public Series page, please contact support@art19.com right away!
Other things that may be helpful:
- If you have access to iTunes site manager or Podcasts Connect we suggest refreshing the feed there. That's been known to speed up the Apple database.
- If using a Feedburner account, ping or re-sync the Feedburner feed. Even though the Feedburner feed is up to date, this trick has occasionally worked in speeding up Apple database lag.
- Check if your episode has an End Date, which would make it unavailable to listening apps when reached (more info).
