This article will show you how to check if a campaign is working as expected using the ART19 player.
When listening to an episode on the listening platforms the audio you download is cached for 24 hours. This means that even if you delete and redownload, or switch listening platforms, you will still hear the same audio for 24 hours after the first attempt on a device. This makes testing if a campaign is working as expected tricky unless you have multiple devices to test with.
When checking campaigns we recommend using the ART19 player page for each episode. Please note this method does not work if you have the public player page disabled.
Navigate to the Episode page you'd like to test with and scroll down to Public Page.
Click into the episode player page and click the play button in the top left.
If you have active campaigns you will see 'Advertising 1/X' appear when the campaigns fire. If you are testing Mid or Post-Rolls you can click through the audio to the time code of the next ad marker, rather than listening through to the entire episode, however due to IABv2.1 rules you will need to listen to all ads in all positions in full for the test to work. If not, the ads will play in the next available AIP.
